Throughout my 15 years of experience as a bedside nurse and nurse practitioner, I have worked in a variety of settings.  Communication in medicine is challenging; ensuring that all parties are informed adequately is crucial to the process of providing great care.  My ability to translate information from data into digestible information has led me to create KP Healthwriter, where I use my experience at the bedside to make topics in medicine understandable and accessible. My deep medical background not only informs my writing but ensures that healthcare publications and organizations receive content that digs deep into the most up to date research on the topic being explored.  All of this from a patient-friendly perspective.

When I’m not writing, I am skiing, hanging out with my twins and my husband, and loving on my golden retriever.
